Acadelite Bureau Consultancy focuses on assisting aspiring writers and academics to achieve their potential. It was established in 2024 after noticing that there are many people who aspire to be writers but do not have the expertise and right attitude to transform their passion and aspirations into reality. However, the goal of this organisation is to assist academic writers to become published writers. Specifically, the main target are practising school teachers in Zimbabwe with a passion of becoming academic writers.

 

This is a short study program where the learners are exposed to theoretical concepts as well as practical orientations at very low cost. The author of the course is a published writer with over 20 years in the writing business. He has books to show and a great track record. The program consists of theoretical concepts and practical tasks. For those who want to perfect their language we offer editing services at very low cost.

 

Program Author: Mashell Chapeyama

 

Mashell Chapeyama is a practising school teacher with over 8 published school text books and many works in progress. He started writing in 1995 and got his breakthrough in 2000 when he was a warded a Certificate of Competence as a Published Writer from Writers’ Bureau (United Kingdom) after his two poetry Anthologies were published by FOMO Arts (Bulawayo). In 2016, Chapeyama was employed by Econet Wireless’ Higherlife Foundation to develop academic content for Zimbabwe schools. He was part of a team that developed primary and secondary school content for Ruzivo Digital Learning, rebranded to Akello. Apart from the writing process Chapeyama became an editor of some of the developed content. This gave him all the expertise required to become a published writer.

 

After completing the content writing project at Econet Wireless, Chapeyama specialised in writing school textbooks. For example, he is the author of Core Aspects of Economics, a series of books forms 1 to 6. The books are published by Palm Publishers. Some of the books are available in Harare’s biggest bookshops like Heritage Publishers ( Corner Speke Avenue & first street). Since 2019 he has assisted many teachers to become academic writers, including holders of doctorate degrees. Among the people he has assisted are academics from the United States, China and Pakistan.

How to earn from poetry

For a very long period of time, I believed that one cannot earn from poetry for a number of reasons. First, publishing companies are no longer interested in publishing poetry books. Why? This is because there are a few people who buy them. To understand what I mean let me ask you a question. How many poetry books have you bought this year? If you have bought two or more congratulation. If you have not bought any book, then you can understand that many others are not buying poetry books. People now read poetry online. Publishing houses now concentrate on publishing academic books. A few companies that publish poetry books, will ask you to pay half-down or more of the publishing cost. A vision is something that sticks with you. I am not sure at what age a human being can relinquish his vision. I have a sad story about how a person keeps his/her vision. Let me write it in short for your own consumption. It is about my father. He was a very successful farmer. When we grew up we lived on farming, in the communal lands. I was the oldest son, living with my parents. I am not saying that I was the oldest son by birth. Fathers do confide with their children. Sadly, my father had developed poor eyesight when he was in his late 60s. When he got a round the seventies, he was completely blind. That was sad and painful to me.
